A collaborative, interdisciplinary discussion by Mattis Dallmann, Heiko Lietz and Maria Wolff Metternich. The backgrounds of the individual members lie in the areas of fashion design (Dallmann), fine- arts (Lietz) and textile design (Wolff Metternich). As representatives of different directions, the three already combine a variety of roles. Motivated by the scope between the disciplines, Wolff Metternich, Dallmann and Lietz offer an attempt to redefine their practices. At the center of the concept are the intersections and grey areas between the systems of fine arts, as well as the fashion and textile design, which form a programmatic approach to space and objects. A sphere in between exhibition space, showroom and shop arises – Objects between function, decoration and reflection – Positions between viewers, customers and guests – products between edition and collection – The aim is ambiguity.
Es bilden sich
offene – geschlossene,
It is formed
open – closed,
filled – empty,
tight – transparent spaces,
in which body and material melt together.
Revelation – concealment. Physicality manifests.
This is the unifying aspect of our exhibits, abstract or concrete.
